Default Gettysburg Trip

I'm thinking about going to Gettysburg the last week in April. Any thing I need to know about the Baltimore area? Around BWI aeroport. The weather should be nice(?) Tickets on Southwest are $99 bucks, I'm all over that!

Nothing to know really about Baltimore. If you can make a swing by the Torsk let me know. Other than that, it is pretty much cut and dry.

It's oh-ficial! april 28-may2, I figure 2 days for Gettysburg, 1 day Antietam. I'm going with my wife, so that could be interesting (since it's a history trip ) and she wanted to go.

I just need to find a hotel/rental car. Which of the on-line bidding services do you guys like? I've used priceline, any tips?

If you can find the time you should swing by the US Ordinance Museum at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds. It's just northeast of Baltimore. It's a vintage armour enthusiasts paradise.

I remember playing on some of these tanks as a kid.

I have an Army buddy who lives in nearby Northeast Md. He took me over there once a few year ago. It looks like they have done some sprucing up on at least those tanks in the pic.

Now that looks cool! I don't know if I'll be able to make it there, as I tried to shoot down any trips to DC. (my wife wants to go there ) hopefully Gettysburg and Antietam will keep me busy.

When i was little, in our backyard were two T-34s and three howitzers to play with.
