Great overview of the Mall, cant believe how many people showed up but thats to be expected. Expectations for Prez Obama are high. Though my only experience is that which Fallout 3 allows you, and its crawling with Super mutants so I tend to avoid it.

Reminds me of a scene from some zombie movie, you the kinda angle some have where they show them zombies rushing thru the streets from air.

May lawn is a lush color of tan

. In all reality, the grass on the mall is bad even in summer. People are on it all the time. But, that is what the mall is for. The mall and all the museums are on the top 10 list for me concerning favorite places to go. My kids love the Museum of Natural History. Air and Space Museum for me

When I went there with some Army buddies to visit the Vietnam and Korean war memorials we parked in Maryland and took the train in to Union Station. That worked out pretty well for us.
