Default Bow torpedo tube - so damage sensitive...TMO

It happend second time yesterday, two differents missions, after action I was "depthcharged", first time with some medium damages, second time without any single visible damage in Damage Control Center (relatively big distance between me and depth charges). In both cases I couldn't use bow torpedo becasue of "torpedo bow too much damage"*, I had this info in infobox. I understand first time (almost, because there was nothing to repair later, everything was repaired, no hull damage), but second case is just shady.

Are bow torpedo tubes so damage sensitive? Can I change it in some file?
This is annoying, in second case no damages, but torpedo bow too much damaged!

I use TMO 1.6.2. + patch 1.6.3., SH4 + U-boats, S-18 and Porpoise class, the same info about bow torpedo.

Please, which file/files are responsible for this, I even cannot fix it, BTW - refitting in port don't help, still "torpedo bow too much damage".
Only end of mission and starting next one is solution.

* I'm not sure i remember this message correctly, but it meant: You can't fire bow torpedo, because it is damaged :-)

Yes, this is not an unusual occurance. Happens to me from time to time when I get depth charged. I just consider it part of the game. If very many tubes are damaged I head back to port early--which is what I imagine they would have done in real life.
