Not sure if RFB mod is supposed to not keep the target locked in your periscope or not. But is there a way to fix it. Its just kind of irratating to have it locked on while trying to get my range it un-locks.

You really should ask that question in the RFB thread, stickied above. There is a new patch that corrects the periscope locking problem so that it is only as bad as the stock game.
