Default How to enable temperature monitoring on Nvidia GeForce 6600 cards

Hi everyone, maybe here someone by some mistake knows hot to do that ?

I was folowing every step described in this link: http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=2379

But after flashing nvidia bios I had no changes at all. Temperature monitor was still locked and invisible. So I did a backup and still searching for solution.

I found the tool: http://www.nvidia.com/object/nvidia_...ools_6.03.html for temperature monitoring but could not stand the wide interface with bunch of unnecessary options. I would like to have just a thermo monitor.
Any ideas ?

Seems that this temperature monitoring is not supported by some cards. Dunno why...
My 7600GT is also blacked out in the temperature display.

Now i´ve nice and simple tool for that. It´s called HWMonitor. Just google for it, extract and start the hwmonitor.exe. No installation needed. This tool monitors all temperature sensors within your PC: CPU temp., GPU temp., HDD temp., fan speeds, voltages

Hope this will help you.

Thanks but I really don't need anything more then GPU temp. I would be ********* glad to unlock this feature only.

I'm having weird thoughts that this manual on unlocking temp features would work for older Nvidia drivers, but with newest it makes no changes at all ? Could it be so ?
On the other hand I have a doubt that drivers has something to do with bios at all ?

Does your hex string 04031201 look like this "04 03 12 01 00 0A 01 11"

Some other instructions http://www.ocia.net/articles/tempmonitoring/page1.shtml

Yes it looked like that after bios flash, unfortunetly with no effect.. I did changed that value from "10" to "00" where it should be changed. Made a second already tweaked bios backup to check did it really took changes and yes it did. But as I said I could not see any temperature monitoring where it should be seen..

Google EVGA Precision. It is a utility that is made for Nvidia cards. You can do more than just GPU temps with it as welll.
