Are you sure it's locking in active and not passively guiding into you? Do you see a ping signal in your active intercept station?

Are You trying to say me, that torpedo can shoot me in passive mod only ? Hmmm... I was in silent speed...
And I didn't receive any acitve signals. |

There's no such thing as 100% silent. I think a passive torpedo got lucky enough to be near enough to hear you.

The active intercept is totally useless with them, so you have to acquire their track very early in the broadband or narrowband sonar. And if you suspect passive fish are coming your way, launch passive countermeasures and get the hell out of there. |

Depends on who's firing the shot. If the enemy is a human controlled sub (and the player is very experienced), and he has an excellent firing solution on you, it doesn't matter that you're going in silent speed. He already has your position. And with that the torpedo just comes strait at you. If you launch contermesures, the enemy will triangulate your position even more acurately. |
