You are witnessing the 'celebrity' status assigned to Obama. Unfortunate, yes, the news and tabloids will run any news concerning Obama. So if he breaks wind in the rose garden, you will hear about it. Soon there will be some kid on Youtube crying tears and saying "leave Obama alone"

Well unless the wifes demanded that the piss poor salary goes towards TP and other items.

Funny thing is. Being President is one of the lowest paid jobs on the planet. Yes almost everything is taken care for you. But you are working for less than minimum wage when you calculate how much the president works every day over the year.

Not to mention it is expected to use some of that for charity and other goodies.
