Just put the game back on again and for the life of me i cant remember in what order i do these things
When returning to port before saving i think i give my crew the medals earned am i correct in this

But only upgrade the boat when i return and load the the saved game, is this also correct

I do it in any old order and it seems to work okay. Are you worried about a bug of some kind?

Maybe its ok to do it in any order. But i am pretty sure i read somewhere that it had to be in a certain order. Lets hope hope i am wrong and someone confirms it.

After I've returned to port I get the "official log" of my last patrol. Then I assign awards, promotions etc. and go back to the "office view". When I exit career mode and the game I have never clicked save, it automatically saves for me.

When I restart the game and click continue career, it shows all pertinent information from my last patrol and away I go...

The specific order doesn't really matter. Both approaches are correct.
