New PC Advice
I've been given the go ahead to spend ~$800 on a new PC after about twenty minutes of reasoning with that woman I live with . So I've been shopping around Newegg. I figure I'll wait until after Christmas for the sales. Any suggestions?
I was thinking about something like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16883229061 PD Last edited by PeriscopeDepth; 12-21-08 at 03:44 AM. |

In the same boat myself.
My main rig (if you can call it that :rotfl went up in a cloud of smoke and sparks 2 nights ago. Just ordered a newie, with Intel quad core 2.8, 4 gigs of 1066 RAM, 500gig HDD, but settled on a 1 Gig DDR3 9800GT video card. (couldn't justify the extra $600) Just need to decide on an OS. |

It all depends on what you are going to use your pc for. If your going to use it for general gaming, that pc is fine.

A pretty good box for the money all things considered. You may want to check the mb to see what kind of upgrading you can do later as needed - but should be more than enough box for quite some time.
