Good for him if it works, but it isn't a practical solution in dealing with HIV/AIDS

not practical, true - they did say that the initial part of the treatment has a 30% mortality rate - but should he remain clear for a while, it should prompt researchers to pursue a safer, easier method of the same procedure.
