Looking into building a new machine, and I am looking for a mid tower case. I'm only a moderate gamer so it doesn't have to be great. So if anybody could recommend something that would be great.
I have been looking at this one; anybody ever used it before. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129042 Last edited by silentrunner; 11-12-08 at 07:17 PM. |

Looks like a good one. I have a Cool Master that is very sturdy and plenty of airflow. I see some expansion slots and that is always a good thing.

It will work - biggest plus besides price is the airflow. Since your not looking at building a rig that will also cook your eggs in the morning with the heat it makes - thats a good basic case. Be watchful on internal mountings - I have used this case before and its solid - but does lack some internal dampening features. The front airfilter needs to be cleaned regularly - and make sure you have the included fans pushing air OUT.

I was going to purchase the Antec Nine Hundred (1200 a bit too expensive) but I couldn't get one locally so I just got the Thermaltake V9, not bad design & looks ok, price was good but very flimsy, this seems to be the problem with most low end cases today!!

Dude, put everything aside, I just purchased a Coolermaster CosmosS edition case from Notebookcity (www.notebookcity.co.nz) for little over $300 - and it's big enough and roomy enough to store as much as you want and the air circulation is awesome. Will be upgrading to a MSI x58 motherboard in about 2-3 months and even use the case for my DJ'ing (though not practical).
For looks and the 'wow' factor - you cant go past this case, though the new Black edition Cosmos is coming out ![]() |

Try for a Gigabyte or Asus board if you can, much better than MSI, unless they have changed quality within the last year!!
