Default Okay I bought the Add on, what do I need to know?

I downloaded this today with the intension of running the Japanese sub mods. What do I need to know about the add on? Can I have 2 installs of this, 1 for regular SH 4 and one for the add on?

What patches do I need?, etc

You don't need to install anything, a clean SH4 + 1.5 works fine

You can keep a seperate 1.4 install if you want, but there's not much point

1.5 adds a new main menu option for the German campaign. The US career option is still there also. The German subs are a bit different in layout and design so it will take a bit of familiarisation with it compared to US boats. If you played SH3, then your all set as the subs in 1.5 are almost identical in layout as SH3.

You will want to start a new career anyway with 1.5 as the crew system has been overhauled. Now you are limited to a set number of officers and petty officers (as it should be) and the crew when experienced will gain new bonus skills.

The menu's and tabs for the boats has changed a bit but its mostly superficial with some extra info added, such as being able to directly compare torpedoes in base with the ones onboard.

All in all its a pretty good add-on in my book. Enjoy!
