Default Oblivion - any late developements?

since Shivering Isles, have there been any late developements, addons, interesting things been done done? any late great mods, things you would not like to miss, must-haves? It has become quite around this fantastic game. I rank it as one of the absolutely best and finest and most immersive PC games ever. It is definitely amongst my top five for the island question.

Officially I think the last thing was a castle addon (was free for the first week or 2 when it came out). No idea for mods, haven't been following in a long time either.

The castle is Battlehorn castle, and it is very, very nice.

You gotta check some of the new houses and stuff the community has made. My favorite has to be a lighthouse in the middle of the sea. It consists of the lighthouse tower, with light and all and then there's the underwater part. Very nice.

Souns like Topal islan mod, that I also know. It is in the south. Small island with complete garden, separate manson, lighthouse.

But Battlehorn castle really is great. Including personnell there to keep up the guard, to take care of your killed animals, a blackmsith, and a combat trainer. Hidden rooms, a deep buried dungeon with a treasure - short, what you expect of an adventure castle.

You can check their mods forums, there's always something new being released, but as far a I know, nothing as major as was done for Morrowind yet as come out. The two expansions (KotN and SI) are the only two that Bethsoft will release for Oblivion. They seem to be directing their energy to Fallout. Once they're off of that ride, I believe they'll be working on ES-V, and I'm hoping it'll be either Summerset Island or Skyrm (two pretty big landmasses).

BTW, I'm just scratching the surface of Oblivion myself (squeezing it in with time needed for SH4 and The Witcher, Gothic 2, Flight Sim X {which I just got for my birthday!} and two train sims). Just testing a few mods that add backpacks, adjusting the HUD so it's not blasting right there on the screen, etc. Enjoying the immersion at the moment.

It's even worse when you do your own modding. I have my own super pack carefully put together from a hundred different mods (which I have modded to my tastes) and my own unreleased work. It is a royal pain in the butt updating it as by the time I do it, I have completely forgotten half the changes I made. Which means I need to sit down and do a huge whack of comparisons so I know what I need to change again. I do this for a lot of games too, in fact every game I run modded I've modded the mods for.
