Default Is There A Mod To Make Flags Smaller?

The flags on the ships appear too big to me, particularly on the American ships.

Is there a mod to make the flags smaller?

Thanks in advance.

well this has been talked about very much in many threads so i'll just sum up the results for you,

they are in fact very accurate size and shape to exactly copy real life flags as verified in many many war photos. many people didnt know they were that big and most movies dont show the actual flag size in a way that can have any scale to it so at first look it seems surprisingly big but that is the correct size.

now as to the question, i dont think there is a mod to make them smaller because of what i explained above it was generally agreed on not to be needed.

there are some that make the flags look dirty and change a few flags for accuracy but that is all i am aware of.

thank you,

now if your still interested in making smaller flags there is probably a way to do it and im sure there are those who would prefer smaller than realistic flags just because they seem to look better. the flags are all located in one file, the game generates them according to preset sizes.

im not sure but i believe you need help from someone who can hex edit the file that decides how big to make it. as far as i know there is only a small group who understands what they are looking at in hex code and who knows how to do this or maybe you can learn to do it yourself. i'm sure they would be glad to help you learn, the hex type modding is where more people knowing how to do it would be a very good thing.

To change the size requires redoing the animations.
Redo one animation and clone and you have them all.
