Motorwessel????

Hello my friends !
I'm in june 1944 , and have an XXI sub . And while I'm cruising on the afternoon I came over two ships one was a " bulkfrighter " , and one was a " Motorwessel "
What in the world is that?? I'm not complaining , is was over 10000ton:p

'Motor Vessel' (the English version) is a common name for any diesel powered ship. Also called 'Motor Ship', as opposed to Steam Ship. Commonly abbreviated 'mv', 'm.v.', or 'm/v'.
