Just bought Pacific Storm - Need help geting game to launch

I just bought Pacific Storm, but can't seem to get the game to launch.

Installation was no problem. When double clicking the desk top launch icon, it brings me to the configuration interface. When I click "OK", the window closes and nothing happens. I tried different configuration settings with no luck.

I am running a Vista PC in administrator mode. My PC meets all system specs.

Anyone had this problem? Any ideas?

I think it has starforce on it, which I hear has issues with vista. That is just a guess though.

It's not protected by Starforce! Ain't it glorious?
But I read some reviews from IGN and Gamespot that Pacific Storm has some really bad bugs: It lags severely on XP.
Maybe Vista doesn't support it?

I was thinking it might be a starforce issue, because the game is made in Russia, and they like starforce

It looks like the Pacific Storm 1.6 Patch solves the launching problem with Vista. No problems now, and no crashes in about 3 hours of game play. It looks to be a great game.

Pacific Storm is a really nice game if you can get around the bugs (Though the game has some horrible translations issues)
