question guys

can i attack polish ships at 3 october 1939? are they still neutral?

In your periscope view up in the top left corner you will find a pull down chart of all the countries in game as well as details of when they are friend or foe.

not all nationalities are there jimbuna i think the flagchart S*CKS
F1 is better (i have an atlas standby with all flags of the world)

Hi, I seem to remember on my first patrol which started in Aug '39 I received a radio message saying the Germany and Poland were at war from 1st Sept.

I think Polish ships are fair game. One of them attacked me while it was escorting a neutral convoy in early Sept. I was just minding my own business, doing a little fishing and sunbathing when he got all nasty.

Poland is the very first enemy. You can sink Polish ships starting 1 September 1939. All others must wait a few days. Or years.
