Americas and VIIC

This being my first post I'd like to first of all use this opportunity to hand out a big thank you to everybody involved with the GWX experience. I've been playing SH III for a while but only recently discovered GWX. It's awesome! Great job!

The question I have though, is wether it's going to be possible for me to join the war in the Americas soon. I'm currently in a type VIIB, about to change to a VIIC. Does the game include the 'Milch Cows' such as U-459 so that the VIIC can refuel and extend it's patrol? Or is an upgrade to a type IX required to join in the 'Paukenschlag'?

welcome sir.
yeah milchcows are available. i cant think where off the top of my head tho. if i remember rightly they should be listed in the gwx manual. also, the next time youre in yer campaign, press F1 and they should be listed with relevant locations and dates.
will this be enough to get u all the way accross the atlantic and back...? i dont know, as im a novice myself and havent tried it yet. ive got a feeling youd be better off with a type IX
good luck

Welcome aboard Cobalt-60.......wizardmatt is pretty close to the mark....when you dock at a milch cow your patrol ends and you commence a new one from your refueling point, so you should be pretty much okay....I prefer the IX for the extra endurance and firepower....enjoy the GWXperience

Welcome aboard!

Personally I'd gor for a type IX - longer range, and more importantly more torpedoes
