Wow, the number of traits per crewman is very encouraging. Makes me wish the SH games had that in the crew management system. Likewise the "over 4000 lines of dialogue" sounds like another good touch to me.

Anyone else getting a classic vibe from this game? It really sounds like something out of another era in gaming. I'm really hoping it doesn't disappoint.

Yes, the level of detail in the game sounds impressive "over 40 types of injury", it will indeed be interesting to see how the crew management/interaction compares with SH4, I too am very interested in this and I don't like fishing/hunting games at all!

The sea in the most recent trailer also looks very imprssive and the boat definitely does not have the "on rails" look of SH4. Perhaps these guys could be encouraged to build a naval sim with the same engine.

Either way, I'm glad that this sort of a game idea could be combined with what looks to be like a solid budget this game is built on.

To convince a company to build a naval sim in a similar vein, I'd imagine they could use an endorsement from a TV network like this. Though with this engine available, I'm sure the developers may be tempted to do one...

Yes, perhaps the History Channel could do a "WWII War in the Atlantic" to go along with their FPS "Battle for the South Pacific".
