Default 2 things...

Hi,

1. Do you also get millions of radio messages on August,31st saying that home base has been changed either to Kiel or to Koenigsburg? Maybe I activated one mod too many (historic u-boat availability dates) cause I am in 7th flotilla and I somehow "got lost" reading the manuals? :hmm:

2. It's not that I'm some kind of a fanatic but if you launch the game through SH3 Commander and start your second war patrol on August 25th/26th it will say in the briefing that it was the polish troops that atacked german station in Gleiwitz... In fact it was the other way around...

I'm polish and I remember it from the history lessons. Other than that - this would actually mean that the Polish started the WWII!!! :rotfl:

Umm, read the line again: "Polish troops reportedly [emphasis] attack German radio station at Gliewitz" and then read the wiki page you linked. Then consider that it is Sep 1939, not later when people knew the facts.

Do I really need to join the dots any further.

Re the Kiel/Konigsberg message bombardment, yes, there is a typo in the GWX files. You can edit it yourself or wait for it to go away in October.

Re the messgaes Kiel\Konigsberg
Am putting together a 2.1 bugfix to cure that and a few other errors but you can alter the files yourself

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII \data\Cfg and open Flotilla cfg in notepad
Change to look like below specifically the Konigsberg exit date IIRC

Base2_0=765;Königsberg
Date2_0_0=1939
Month2_0_0=7
Date2_0_1=1939
Month2_0_1=8
DeparturePointLong2_0=2446551.000000
DeparturePointLat2_0=6560480.000000
Heading2_0=335.051331
Base2_1=750;Kiel
Date2_1_0=1939
Month2_1_0=9

As to Poland well that was a done deal already

Message from Fdu 31\8\39

Quote:
Supreme Command of the Navy radioed Atlantic boats as follows in message T.O.O. 1743.
1) Start of hostilities against Poland 0445/1/9.
2) Attitude of Western powers uncertain.
3) No attacks against English etc. forces, except in self defense or by special order.
4) Boats to remain in waiting positions for the present.
The radio station was just an excuse

We all know the truth, and have for decades; but it's not about the truth, it's about what you, as a German sailor, would have been told at the start of the war. That's why JScones's Nightclub script has one of your fellow kaleuns repeating the propaganda as if it were real.
