Slight problem with RSR campaign...

Sorry if I'm being a bit dim here... I load the first mission with the FFG in harbour. I go to back 1/3 get the horn sound. But I dont move... I increase speed with the same effect... then my ship just blows up and thats the end of that! I bet its something really stupid... but I can't grasp it!

I do have a question for afterwards though... Where are you getting the campaign from and when did you download it? I'm really surprised that this is still something that comes up often enough that it's guaranteed to be picked up by a search...

It was on the extras disk, I've got the "black bean" version on DW its got a second disk with loads of extra missions on and a few videos.

Ok, I did a search... but either its not there or I'm just damn right crap at searching :S

That's right, they "outsourced" some missions--and a campaign--to include I completely forgot about that!

If I remember right BB shipped DW as v1.03 ... Patch 1.04 is newer and unless they have updated their release it should be 1.03 out of the box. Which means all the missions should work as advertised (incl. Bills Campaign) unless of course you have patched the game (which you did) in which case you need the new version of the campaign (but to be fair, thats not something BB was/is aware of or has to take care of, as their product works as advertised - well, 1.03 works as 1.03 should ...

).

Outsourcing is nicely put ... as far as I see it they basically looked at Bills page and (I guess here) asked more or less everybody if they could use their missions for their release. Only Bill (I think) actually made some new missions for BBs release.
