Default Strange FFG behaviour

Hi guys,

I was driving the FFG round the south Atlantic yesterday. I had numerous enemy ships around, including enemy special forces.

I was travelling at flank speed across very deep water, and then suddenly the ship slowed and stopped. It acted as if it was stuck, and did not move even with flank speed selected. The depth below the keel was in the thousands of feet.

I had no damage to the ship, but I wondered if it had anything to do with enemy special forces?!

Anybody else experienced getting 'stuck' in open water?! Any ideas?

Cheers,

Ben

I think there was some bug concerning collisions with special ops. Boat was dead, although it did not show as dead. Anyway I don't now much more about it.

If it started to sink, then it might have been the result of a collision or explosion in proximity. Sometimes these events kill a ship without displaying any damage.

That's the thing, it didn't sink and I could use everything onboard, except the engines! The engines were showing a high RPM when I selected flank speed, I just wasn't going anywhere!!

Ok, this issue is starting to get very annoying. It seems that no matter what, whenever you try to recover a MH-60, a "collision" occurs and the OHP sinks with no damage, causing you to fail the mission (she eventually hits the bottom and disappears, prompting the crew to yell "she's lost, abandon ship!").

It's happened on every mission that I've played as the FFG. I know numerous people who are having the same problem. Perhaps it is something with LWAMI? Or mabye some sort of bug in DW 1.04? Or a compatibility issue?

This is very wierd.
Generally I play in the frigate in multiplayer/multistation and I've never had the helo crash on returning to base.
It takes tens of minute for the approach and final landing but no collision.
I use dw 1.04 + latest version of lwami

On the other hand, launching harpoons or sm-2 generally results in a crash for me, I've even done sevral crash reports to S.C.S hopeing for a fix but its very unlikely it will ever materialize.
