I created two warships coming out of a harbor. When they come out, I don't get any "Contact Warship, Bearing........" They come out and come straight at me, I am testing, first time using the editor. A couple of minutes after them two merchants come out and I get contact info on them and they are twice as far away. When I click "Report contacts" I get "No sound contacts". But if I go above periscope depth I will get a "Ship spotted", I don't even have to be surfaced. Why do I get contacts on ship generated by the game but not on the ones I created?
One more question: (sick of me yet?) If I make a "group" to form a Task Force, will the destroyers leave the group to search for the sub like they do in the game? Peabody

in order to get contact warning, obviously it must be a new contact, its probable that you being too close is resulting in the ships already being tracked or charted as known traffic you are already aware of so thats why you dont get a new contact warning.
