Error logs on GWX 2.0

I loaded the files from Jimbuna's link on filefront and it worked halfway. Then a box appeared and asked me for disk 4 or click browse if I knew where the info was. It didn't recognize GWX-4.bin file in the folder. Then a file popped up on my desktop telling me that it passed 4 tests but failed the 5th. And this is what it said:
Test 5 - FAILED c1d3097cbf96b1247880096149598dac
So that's all she wrote folks.

Jeez. What have you done?:rotfl:

You have the results of 2 tests in your opening post. First the MD5 check and second the installer error log.

Ok, I assume you have followed the instructions and have downloaded 7 x *.bin files & 1 x *.exe file. These all need to be in the same folder or just on your desktop.

Then, following the instructions on the GWX FAQ page, check EVERY downloaded file using each parts respective MD5 Hash code, which are listed on the same page or also available here. Provided, each GWX file gets reported as being OK, we can proceed. If a part is reported different, delete it and re-download.

OK, your second error, the installer report. This means that the installer has checked your installation of SH3 1.4b and has found that it does not meet the requirements of the installer, i.e it is moddified and not clean.

However, lets do one thing at a time.

Step 1) Download & check the GWX installation files with MD5 Mate.
Step 2) Report back with success or failure.

problems with GWX 2.0

I have done as you have said AND checked all the hash codes with the MP5mate and all came out squeaky clean. The only GWX 2.0 mod that has run so far has been Kapitan Lehmann's but he had the problem of disappearing torpedos and the occaisonal reporting error box. I've been told that this is an old glitch and has since been fixed. Have any solutions?

First, what the hell is Kpt.Lehmans MOD? Can you point me to it?

Ok, so all the GWX files are 100%, which means the problem is with your installation of SH3 1.4b.

1) Use windows add/remove programs to uninstall SH3.
2) Delete the SH3 folder in My Docs.
3) Delete the SilentHunterIII Program folder found at C:/Program Files/Ubisoft/......
4) Reboot.
5) Reinstall SH3 1.0 from the game disk (FYI, if the game is new it maybe patched to 1.4 already, you can check by looking in the bottom right cnr of the main menu).
6) Run the SH3 1.4 patch (it will say 1.3 when installing, don't worry about it).
7) Reboot.
8) Now run GWX.exe to start the installer (make sure all GWX2 files are in the same location).

Let me know if there is an error report from the installer. Look for txt files on your desktop.
