U-boat Commanders handbook

I re-discovered a book just today.
It's called "The U-boat Commanders Handbook" it is a direct translation of the BDU's hanbook issued to commanders for refrence in the field. The book includes tactics, precedures etc. pretty much everything a commander needs to know is there, even short data on the boats themselves (god help the commander who is ignorant to his boats range or depth!)
I think i'll buy a copy and use it with Sh3 does anybody else do this?

i have that bookmarked in my favorites.

I considered printing it, but i decided it would use too much paper and ink when i can just pull it up on screen just as easily as reading it on paper.

its a good read.

GoldenRivet, I've been looking for this legendary handbook everyone seems to refer to here in the forum. My ears (?) perked up when I read that you have an online copy of it bookmarked for reading.

Is this the same 1943 U-boat Commander's Handbook that is archived at hnsa.gov? That one seems, to me, to be very short and skimpy on details for it to be the rich and vital document I have seen described here at SubSim.

I'd very much appreciate your providing the link.
