Default Seeking help on getting SH4 all modded up?

Okay, I have downloaded the major mods and looked at the various threads about install orders.

I have a few questions:

(1) Since RFB and TM are one or the other can I have two installs of SH4, the same as I did SH3 by just running SH3 Multi?

(2) Is there anything like SH3 Commander for SH4? I am looking for features to turn off the crew fatigue model, make my water clearer, and adjust TC values?

(3) NV Drifters DC sound/splash warnings is temporarily unavailable. Can anyone load me a temp copy of this somewhere?

(4) Which would be the better choice for me start with as a beginner: TM or RFB? Note: I am an experienced SH3/GWX player. So, I don't think I need to really spend time with stock SH4.

Thanks.

Markshot - do yourself a favor and play stock - at least for a day - unless your going to use auto targetting.

Other than that - TM and RFB are both great - each one has its own realism. One isnt "easier" than the other - though I would say Duci with Tm made it easier to "tweak" to your own tastes (his changlogs are fantastic!).

Definitely get RSRD for whichever of the 2 you choose. Realisitic traffic makes a huge difference. Also get the ROW eye candy - Leovampire (and now Kriller's) work is amazing.

Cant help on the DC mod - sorry. Also - there are ways to run sh4 in 2 installs - I just don't know how. As for an SH4 "Commander" - a couple of people have looked into it - but there is nothing out there right now like it.

Oh - and dont forget to get NSM 4 - its not the same game without it!

The first thing I did when I patched to SH4 1.4 was to copy and paste to Clean SH41-4 Folder I renamed in Program Files. I don't touch this install, it is for quick access to a clean set of files, comparing files, etc.

Now the same can be done with other installs, copy the Main Silent Hunter Folder and paste it into your newly named RFB Folder for example( under Programs ). Add in JSGME so you can install mods, etc to that install. Mine are Career, Test, etc....

Also, there is a great little app. called Multi SH4, this will allow you to have separate save folders in My Documents, without using this app, your install saves will be difficult to keep track of. Do a search for this and you will find it.

I will probably start with auto targeting.

Okay, I just download SH4 Multi ... I've done the whole JSGME and multi stuff for SH3 already. Thanks.

Anyone have a copy of DC warning mod?

Thanks.
