Default Radioing the Luftwaffe?

Hi guys. On a number of posts, I see people stating that they radio sightings of destroyers or lone merchants in to BdU when they can't engage for some reason, hoping the Luftwaffe will turn up and finish the job.

How do you do this? I can only seem to radio in contact reports for convoys, and generally there's next to no chance of the Luftwaffe arriving on the scene because it's in the middle of the Atlantic...

How can I report individual ship positions, or are these jokers using literary artistic licence?

That is how you do it.

Sending a contact report... if you are say off the coast of France and there is an airbase there... the game calculates if it is within range and if so... bam! Here comes the pain!

The flyboys come and get it.

Works best in the Med though, Had the Regia Aeronautica save my bacon a few times out there Stukas make a pretty sound if you're being harassed by DDs

Upon making contact with three Flowers outside the Norwegian coast, I attempted to use both radio report functions. Verily, I say ye, less than half an hour later came a squadron of Stukas. The attack was a welcome sight indeed.

Do you have to have them "locked," in scope/uzo view, when you radio them in?
