Default Medal of Honor on every patrol?

I've just finished my 3rd patrol (SH4 v1.4, TM 1.7.2 w/ RSRD) and have been awarded a Medal of Honor on each patrol. On average, have sunk 8 ships for >25k tons per patrol.
Previous threads indicated that, while this type of success was extremely rare in real life, the award threshold in the game was a "stock" problem. Is anyone aware of any way (mods, etc) to adjust this?

Ducimus - thanks. Not the answer I was hoping for, but the one I expected. BTW, great work on TM - I'm enjoying it greatly!

If the conditions are the same after each mission, you'll get the same medal(s).

So, ask for more objectives and increase the realism level. You'll see that if you sink >25kt on 100% realism, you'll really be asking for the Medal of Honor.

as a newbie I don't know how you ask for more objectives, so... How do you ask for more objectives?

Default asking for more objectives

When you complete one objective, make sure you radio in (assuming you have enough torpedoes to complete another mission). You will then be assigned another mission.

I ignore the medals as a "gamey" aspect of the stock SH4. With the new layers in RSRD, mid to late war tonnage is easy to come by. I just got one, and encountered no enemy destroyers. Seemed a bit silly, but I just ignored it and went on to the next mission.

ClayP - I've been sailing out of Freemantle early in the war (started the career in May 42). Most of my action has been in and around Indonesia to the NE of the Lombok strait. There have been times I've passed targets up for a lack of torpedoes... At least in May 42 - Sep 42 there doesn't seem to be any shortage of Marus sailing alone and unescorted. Lots of Japanese air patrols (all A6M's) but no escorts.

@bale and John Channing: Thanks, finally I know what to do with those reports

@clayp: go to another region (ask to be transfered..). maybe than you will get more interesting missions and you wouldn't find it boring.
