Default Medieval 2 Total war

Hi all

I recently played the Demo of Medieval 2 total war and thought it was absolutly brill :p
I never played any of the old total war games as they never really interested me at the time but after playing this demo its completely changed my mind.

So my question to anyone with the full game, is the full version worth getting?
Is there a skirmish mode etc and what are your thoughts on it?

Hey AJ!

Yes, the full game is worth to get, I dont personally have the expansion but it is said to be a model piece of how expansions should be made, so I think you might want that too.

Here's an old topic about the MTW II, you find plenty of info etc from there.

It is definitely worth getting. It's probably one of the best purchases I have ever made. It's much like Civ IV with an RTS portion added, but I find M2TW much easier (as in more fun, not easier dificulty) to play. I would reccomend this game to anyone.

Also, the new one Empire Total War is due out next year, Q2 I believe.

And if you need help in the game, Total War Center is a good forum for all Total War games.

Yeah the thought of having huge 18th century naval battles won me over with the new total war, cant wait

I havnt seen any screenshots of the game though apart from those 3 early ones with the ships

Medieval 2 Total War + Kingdoms is the best money I ever spent (except SH3). The Kingdoms Expantion is the best addon ever, I am not kidding.

Oh, and get the awesome Stainless Steel-mod.

You can't go wrong with MIITW. May also want to get RTW which comes with Barbarian Invasion now.

I'll put my mark down for recommending MTW2. The totalwar games stole my love for Civilization long ago, although I'm still a fan of Civ, it's just that TW has so much more to it. I've definately got my moneys worth out of all the TW games i've purchased. It's one that you can always go back to after a few weeks and enjoy playing it.

Empire Totalwar, this game is going to be awesome with extra awe!

I've got Rome total war and the expansion barbarian invasion nice and realistic strategy games. In fight they give you the feeling that you are in the battlefield unlike games like empire earth, dawn of war etc.

I finally exterminated the moors and I'm causing rebellions in the remaining mongol cities in Europe. I've pretty much destroyed their offensive force (except in the middle east, the mongols have jerusalem). I did just lose another settlement to them and another 15000 people were slaughtered, but what can you do? I own 55 regions and I'm planning to push the mongols out of europe than turn my attention to the middle east. I'm not really going to be playing though because I just got Sins of a Solar Empire.

Hey guys.

Anyone tried the Clouds Across Europe mod? I see it as the most downloaded on TWCenter.net. Is it any good? I like the new factions they've added. :hmm:

You know, I have a suggestion. Instead of elections, why not choose the Overlord of the Earth by the winner of this game in a massive on-line tournament?

Because the Overlord of the Earth is already chosen by a MIITW-like game called War!
