Default Energizer D size battery scam

I mentioned this to someone years ago that the D's cost way more but still have only the mah capacity of an AA. It is good someone finally published it!

Well they do make D cell converters where you can slide a AA into them and put them in a flashlight or something that requires D cells.

Not sure why you would want to do that. Logic tells me that if a product needs D Cell in the first place, it needs a much higher mAh than a simple AA can provide. Dumb idea. 'D' cells don't exist simply for clobbering people with mag lights. :p

I had a flashlight from Walmart that ran on the things. Luckaly I found a box of those batterys in my shed or I would have tossed it after the battery it came with ran out. I ran out of these batteres about 6 months ago and I got rid of the flashlight.

They are called Lantern Screw Tops and are 6 Volts.
