Default getting the balao

Ive asked this before but i cant find the topic when i search for it. Ive just done two careers in 1942 and 1943 and in both careers i wasnt given an opportunity to transfer to a new sub. i could transfer to a new base but still have the same sub. so basically how do i get the balao?

Well, the only time I received a new command...it only happened after making 4-5 patrols and making all the assigned missions. Unfortunate that you do not get to select the new sub like a car lot. You can only hope you get the balao.

lol i came back from my 3rd patrol and got assigned a balao! now at what stage in the game does it let you get two deck guns? right now i only have 1 4 50 cal and a twin 20 mm and a single 20 mm anti air. i cant wait to have 2 deck guns and 2 flak guns. i can already take on a few ships at a time on the surface...but with two deck guns...man i would be like a mini destroyer. with better aim lol

Without being too specific (don't want to spoil it for ya), the last stage. I opted for the two deck guns myself but never fired either one. Just completed the war in current career so we'll have to try again next time.

One thing about those AA guns - I like to keep a Twin 20 for rate of fire. The 40 packs a punch but at a slower rate of fire.

Good hunting!

That's a good point on the 20 for ROF, I loaded up 40s cause bigger bang is a good thing but sometimes more bang is a good thing... what's that saying "Quantity over Quality has a class of it's own" or something like that

It's not the size, it's how you use it!

Too bad I only hear this come from other guys. I'd love to hear a woman say it and not laugh after. I agree with keeping one of the twin 20's though. It's nice to have one gun with a high rate of fire.
