It brings the torpedo damage down to historical levels if you think they are too powerful just tell me and I will fix it.

i have 3 installs and i run gwx on one nygm on one and stock on the other(never got around to modding the stock game) % depends on the type of torpedo just try them and find out it's alot easier than explaining everything |

This sounds very intresting,
however there is a question pomping on mi head! What really have you based in to say that this was leveled to historical levels? I mean as far as I know this was allready made over GWX and NYGM and some other Mods... So really what was changed and based on what and were exactly?! ![]() ![]() |

Iambecomelife: NGYM has an elevated % of duds, premature detonations and deep regulation malfunctions. Have you tried? In "Happy Times" mission (April 1940) there are 50-60% of duds of all types everytime.

Oh now that is a challenge I have never tried to modify something like that I will give it a try.

You may want to re-title your mod as an "alternate torpedo damage mod." The torpedo damage in GWX versus unit damage models are already modified to historically plausible ratios based on real life data. No less than 6 months of research and development went into this one subject alone in GWX. Most ship sinkings were achieved with 1-2 successful torpedo impacts that resulted in detonation. Also, torpedo reliability factors (dud torpedoes / premature detonations) in SH3 are hard-coded from what we can tell. |
