Default Scapa Flow

Hey! The eastern entrance where the wrecked ships were doesn't seem to be available on the SH3 map any more.

January 1, 1941

Anyone know why?

Are you using the GWX mod? If so, then the entrances should be there (complete with ship wrecks.).

If you're back to using the stock SH3, there are no eastern entrances unfortunately.

I'm sure, before GWX came out that I entered at that end using stock SH

Additional: I guess you are right, I just look at the map and there is no way in. Damn and I come all the way around there.

Then how did Prein get in there, he used that entrance!!!!!

Anyway, how difficult is it to get in from the bottom east entrance, since I'm already on the east side?

Sorry, didn't see this until late (was out to sea, screwing up again!)

You can enter through there, but watch out for the sub barracades, they make it to where you have to go straight through the middle. But once you're on the other side, you can move back over close to land.

Watch your keel, as you're only going to have 1 - 3 meters of clearence while dived (and of course you'd have to be INSANE not to be dived!).

You'll have quite a few destroyers to contend with in there and all around.

one thing I can suggest. Head to the east side like you planned. Then go to all stop and use the external camera (if you've got it enabled). Zip over towards the port, looking around. I did that earlier tonight, even though with GWX I've got the entrance, just to see what was there and if it would be worth the effort to get there. Glad I did as the only thing there was a large tanker and several destroyers. Not worth it at that point, so I turned around and got out of there.
If you see a nice fat capital ship, then go for it!

I have used two different canals to gain entry to scapa flow. The one Gunther Prien used, and the one just south of that. Worked fine, GWX 1.03
