Default GWX problems

finely desided to do the GWX/Commander thing and true to all palst additions of mods...it's all messed up.

At night the sky is pure black & the clouds are white along with white water & trees along the shoreline.

out to sea the water is a sickning brown mud looking mess.

The stick sh3 sub I could get the boat to go straight down & settle on the bottom.. This install will not.

The torpedo tubes will not open via the Q key.

There are a few other things that are not right & the feel of things is not good.

I'm going to uninstall GWX & commandeer & just go back to the sh3 /14b.

installing stuff just never works out for me...ever!

Were you using SH3Commander before installing GWX? What you described sounds a bit like you have installed the 16km Visibility mod on top of GWX without rolling back SH3Commander.

O.k. have SH3 reinstalled and ran it & worked just fine. torp doors (plus a few other things that were buggy) opened just fine.

Now... ***I******* I installed Commander only and ran my career out of it, and desided to try the GWX again would I then have to uninstall everything before I did the gwx install?

When you uninstall SHIII, are making sure you delete all the remaining SHIII folders on your system. You probably have, but that may be a possible source of problems. This includes removing Ubisoft/SHIII folders from your registry.

OK where are you at now? SHIII run from commander only? Any other mods? Are you in port? If you are not in port, return to base before uninstalling or installing any mods.

If you have any mods enabled prior to GWX being installed you need to remove them. If not then make sure that you roll back SH3Commander settings before you install GWX.

Once GWX is installed and before you run SH3Commander run GWX and check that it is working. Then run SH3Commander with a new career.

Papa, my suggestion is to unistall commander before putting in GWX, then follow the installation instructions from GWX for SH3 Commander. PM me when your done with those steps, because I have a MOD that brigtens the sky a bit, and would be more than happy to email it too you.
