Atlantic missions with sh4

Hi all...
Recently I have learned that in 1943 US submarines covered Allied landings in French's african coast with the activity of a sub group (forget the exact name) based in Scotland. Also if the brand-new Gato-class subs sent there were hampered by severe problems with H.O.R. engines, they managed to sink or damage some German & French blockade runners.
So....
Is possible to add these missions to SH4?? Obviously adding new bases....Surely this options will increase gameplay

Besides the participation in the Allied landings cover, a number of US subs did patrols from Britain (five each).

This would be a nice addition to the game

It would be a nice addition to the game, but it would become rather boring after few patrols I think. No ships to sink, just cruising around.... hey, that sounds too familiar.... SH3?:hmm:

More traffic ( german/vichyfrench) could be added, and AI u-boats could be the targets for special anti submarine patrols in the North Sea ( also if not historically, just to improve gameplay) or in the Bay of Biscay:hmm: ....Not boring at all!

Yes that was the idea when the US subs were sent to the Atlantic. Sneaking upon german bases in France/Norway and torpedoing U-Boots leaving on patrol or surface raiders. However, IIRC no US sub scored any success in the Atlantic, opposite to what happened in the Pacific where at least 1 german IXD/2 U-Boot was sunk by torpedoes (Only 1? Can someone confirm/correct that? )

In any case, I also would like to see that added to SH4. The more options, the merrier, and with the modular campaign approach that should be certainly easy to do with the converted ships from SH3

That would put so much stress on the engine it wouldn't even be funny. Basically you'd need additional campaign layers to represent the atlantic traffic.
