Radar on VIIB

When did the VIIB get their first radars installed? Does anyone know approx what year and month ?

Can you have radar on the VIIb? I didn't think you could becuase the conning tower is not right.

The first radar detectors (FuMB 1 Metox 600A) were not fitted to boats until August 42 onwards. By this time the VIIB was quite old and those that had survived were relegated to training flotillas.
A little in depth research might yield you a more detailed answer though :hmm:

Not sure of the precise date....but they were available in the early 30s :hmm:

yeah i never got a radar while i was in in the VIIB boats.
