Default GWX features??

I really like GWX a great mod but I am not ready for the hardcore approach yet..

But I love the features like the realistoc minefields and events on the right dates..

Is there anyway to keep the extra ships and events without the haedcore AI, Damadge and physics?

GWX isnt hardcore
Where do ppl get that idea from
The damage model is easier than GW1.1 but more difficult than stock which is arcadish at best
You can still adjust the levels you play at as before
You can even add the coloured contacts back to make it easy to spot friend or foe

The AI IS better than stock but then that wouldnt be hard would it

What do you mean by physics ?

by physics i ment the boyancy and silent speed, i think this is my only real annoyance.

I kind of like a slightly holywood damadge model to be able to take a pounding like in 'Das Boot' it kinds of adds to the exitement being able to take a pounding and if your lucky make it out and limp home to lick the wounds..

Will it make much differance unchecking relasitic damadge model?

GWX was modded with the realistic damage realism option activated.

Deactivating or not using realistic damage is therefore not something we can really answer.

GWX is only "hardcore" if you want it to be by selecting all of the realism options.

How "hard" or "realistic" you choose to play your game is up to you based on your selections.

You can also enable the optional "Reduced Positive Bouyancy" mod that is available in version 1.03. This will become default in version 1.04 when it is released, as it is a refinement of the original.

Silent speed of 2 knots will keep you quiet
Even in stock SH3 anything over that is like sounding the dinner bell only we made it simple by selecting silent running gave you 2 kts instead of 4 kts and still being heard
