It was in SH1, I believe. Would it be possible to mod it again-if not in a calendar like the original-maybe a script below the date on the message board?
I would find it useful to determine things like where to stop before entering a strait and wait for sundown, etc.

Very difficult to be accurate. From Hawaii to the Bay of Bengal covers a time difference of 7, or 8 hours, plus latitude would make a difference to Sunrise and Sunset, but it all depends on what time-zones and variables have been coded into the game. I don't think they're all that accurate.
Simplest way I've found is to wait for the Nav MAp to darken, wait an hour and then opo up to PD for a quick look around . |

Depending on location, time of year etc., the variation is approx +/- 2-3hrs between sun rising and setting.
