Default [REL] Retro Navmap Tools v1.3 compatible

RetroNavTools v1.3

This is an update for the RetroNavTools that is compatible wil SH4 v1.3.

First off I want to thank ottos who did what I should have done in coming up with the original RetroNavTools mod. His work made this update an easy one (with a few small modifications) to make it compatible with v1.3.

Features:
1) All the functionality of the old style SH3 dropdown menu.
2) edge scroll on the navmap has been disabled

Known Problems/Bugs:
1) If the navtools are used as a dropdown, the button positions are still clickable even though they are hidden from view.

IMPORTANT NOTICE! -- This mod is no longer JGSME compatible!!!11ONEONE!!!

I have removed the JGSME compatibility because there are just too many mods that modify the menu_1024_768.ini file.

Making the mod JGSME compatible makes it way too easy to undo/wreck previous mods that may be installed on the user's computer. This means that to get this mod functionality the user must edit the menu_1024_768.ini file manually. This mod allows the user to add the RetroNavTools to an already modded SH4 install without losing any of the mods functionality (unless the mod modifys the stock navigation tools.....this mod gets rid of he stock navigation tools entirely!). Just be careful to backup the menu_1024_768.ini file before installing this mod in case things to awry.

Installation:
1) BACKUP YOUR CURRENT menu_1024_768.ini FILE!
2) Open your current menu_1024_768.ini file in notepad (or other text editor)
3) Use the editor's search feature or just scroll down to the section starting with [G31 I1]
4) Open the file named "Copy me to G31.txt" in notepad (or other text editor).
5) Copy the entire text from "Copy me to G31.txt"
6) In menu_1024_768.ini, replace the items [G31 I1] through [G31 I27] with the text copied in step #5
7) Save the modified menu_1024_768.ini file and you are ready to go.

Addendum:
1) The mod as presented only provides a static version of the RetroNavTools. If you want a drop down version of the mod, delete the semicolon in section [G31 I2] in front of "VertSlide=45"....i.e. edit ;VertSlide=45 to VertSlide=45.
2) if you would rather have the mouse scrolling on the sides and top to be enabled, delete the line "ParentID=0x3F000000; Original" from sections [G31 I24] through [G31 I27].

Again I would like to thank ottos for pointing out an easier way to do things with this mod. When I first did the mod I basically took the stock SH4 navtools, moved them and replaced the graphics to mimic the SH3 style tools. This introduced some problems with the icons dissappearing when clicked and didn't allow the full area of the button to click. What ottos did was disable the SH4 style navtools and then enable the old navtools. I thought that the new tools would enable some cool things like being able to edit the mark took text (HA!)...so I basically did more work to get the same functionality that could have been done easier, just for the hopes of being able to do something that we will never get .

Using ottos method, we get the entire area of the button to click now plus the icons dont dissappear when they are clicked as in previous releases of this mod.

If anyone wants to further modify this mod, feel free to do so. If they want to integrate this mod into other mods, go right ahead! I hereby pass all modding rights to the modders of this great forum!
