Default Recommended Addons for GWX

After playing SH4 for a few weeks, I decided to go and pick up SH3 and double my fun. I've already got GWX and the accompanying files downloaded, but I'm looking for more mods to add to enhance my U-Boat experience.

I realize now I did miss a sticky with some mods listed in there.

However, I would still love to hear what fellow skippers are using to enhance the GWX experience.

Final edit: Do a lot of you guys play with death being final? I ask because so far I've been going where I only save when I am going to stop playing, and if I die, that's it, time to start a new career. I've actually been recording my ships in a little notebook I have next to my desk, along with useful information that I'm learning as I play.

Hi Vatek

Hang on to your hat. There will be alot of response. I use sober's waves and really like it.

GWX 1.04 should be out in the near future and it should have this mod most likely and alot more.

But for now get ready for alot of advice from this great community of members and modders.

Enjoy

Vatek: SH3 Commander--don't leave port without it. A great mod.

My advice would be this; Use GWX and SH3 commander, they're great mods together. Then get some patrols under your belt. If there are still parts of the game that you don't like, then you can find specific mods that might fix them or, god forbid, you start modding your own game

Cheers,

J

With GWX, you really don't need anything else, except Commander

When using GWX with SH3Cmdr you need a special set of config files to make the 2 programs compatible.

Click on my Sig to get the files.

The only mod i use with GWX (with SH3 Commander) is cobalt's Playable Viic/41 mod

It adds a real VIIC/41 model to the game since the stock VIIC/41 is just a 1:1 copy of the VIIC.
