Default completed objective stops game

when i complete the single mission objective the game stops and it's telling me i completed the mission objectives.

but i don't want to stop, i'm in the middle of a battle and i still have fuel and torps with no damage at all.

in sh3 i liked being able to decide when to leave the action so if i completed my objective i could decide if i was able to continue the battle.

is there a way to get the missions to not end as soon as the objective has been achived?

i tried by deleted the mission events and nothing changed, then i deleted triggers and again nothing changed, and then i deleted the objectives but then mission would not run.

and yes i know this is wrong forum but nobody visits sh4 mission builders anymore, 1 post a day is all it gets if your lucky.

I'm not sure 'cause i just started making missions myself a couple of days ago to test some scope views and torps, but I noticed my test missions stopping before I could even get them started - I fixed that by making the objective something that couldn't be completed (in my case - I set it for sinking more tonnage than was present in the mission). You might want to try that (either add a second objective or make the first one un-achievable - the latter approach would mean you wouldn't get the satisfaction of completing the mission, but you'd be able to keep blasting away anyway).

Good luck!

yea that occured to me this morning, i guess i will have to do that with all the missions including any i create.

i'm not looking to just blast away but much of the fun is in attempting to escape after sinking your objective and they took that away.

when you create your missions does the objective have to be a ship that is present in the mission, say sink 20 yamato's or will it work if the objective ship is not present in the mission at all?

The best way is just to increase tonnage sunk to a very high level that
the player won't achieve....

Hit the left text, "return to game" or whatever it says instead of "continue" when it shows the mission results (tonnages, etc).

Poof, you are back. You can even go to a base and refit if you like.

There's a thread about one here (I haven't tried that tutorial yet so I don't know how good/clear it might be): http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=115221

Also, be sure to take a look at some of the sticky threads/FAQs in the SH4 ME forum here ( http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/forumdisplay.php?f=222 ) - that's where I found the answer to why I couldn't find any of my initial test missions when I went into the game to try to load them - one of the stickied FAQs was all about that and worked like a charm.

Good luck!
