I noticed that the Gold Chrysanthemum crest which is normally on the bow of all IJN Warships (possible exception of the Submarines) are missing. On the Yamato it is rather predominate. Thus crest later appeared in April 1945 on both sides of the funnel (though in white)

if you prefer that flag change your original in /tex into
