Maybe this is something that has been mentioned earlier in one of the threads, I couldn't find it.
Suppose you're going for a refit. Both radars are installed. You are getting annoyed by the radar operator, who's calling in friendly contacts, killing your time compression. You then switch radar off. In stead of shutting up he keeps reporting. I can't get him to shut up. In the navy someone would say "cease reporting", but in the sim you can't. These are my installed mods: ![]() I sure hope someone knows what to do. This guy makes me crazy. Thanks Bando |

In the RFB1.27 mod they rebuilt the SD radar so it will detect targets. The problem is that the SD radar cannot be turned off (SH4 problem). When you turn off the radar it only effects the SJ installation. The actual file name is called Sensors_sub_US.sim located in the \data\Library\USSubParts. Removing it from the RFB mod returns it back to the default SH4 radar setup, however, your SD will be useless again. EDIT : And your SJ will be default SH4 which will only detect targets if the sub is heading north between 271-089. Hope that helps. Mraah |

Mraah, realydedpoet, thanks for replying.
What I'll try to do in this case is force the sonar and radar operators (only in friendly waters) to the damage control party. In that scenario there will be no operator at the station. EDIT I've tried that, to no avail. The operators are not on their station in the conning tower, there's nobody there and still they keep reporting contacts of no interest. Guess we'll have to wait for patch 1.3. Last edited by Bando; 06-01-07 at 09:39 AM. |

Nope,
I sailed with decks awash, the diesels still running, it was clear weather, no wind. The radar was off, the conning tower people were in the dam control team, believe it was 30 ft I travelled and still they kept reporting. As I said, maybe (hopefully) patch 1.3 will solve this. Thanks anyway Bando |
