Default Iron Coffins - Great Read

Iron Coffins by Herbert A. Werner.
If you loved Das Boot but wished there was more ship sinking in it... Then this book is a must read. It's a true story taking you from Captain Werner's NavalAcademy to UboatSchool and into his first combat patrols and beyond. It gives you an authentic feel of what life was like on a U-boat and Tactics they employed against the enemy.

Found it at my local Barnes –n- Nobel.

I agree, great book. I have just started U333 The Story of a U-Boat Ace by Peter Cremer, hoping that will be just as good.

Good book, quick read. Very hard to put down and gives something into the world of being a uboat crew in ww2. Told straight from the mind of an actual uboat commander.

U Boat Ace (story of Wolfgang Luth) by J. Vause and U Boats at War (a first hand account of a U boat sailor) by H. Busch are both good, too.

Not neccessarily; have a look around here:
http://www.abebooks.com/

You'll find most of the listed books for a very low price.

The price of the books is right for sure...only the shipping costs from the US to here (Netherlands) are rather high....

But I have spotted some stores in the Uk that look interesting....

Thanks Sailor!

Used them myself Steve....very good supplier, and reasonable prices
Only draw back is shipping times across the pond (UK)

Amazon.com has these books and more at great prices. As soon as the book hits my mailbox I order another because by the time it arrives I'm usually done with the one I just got.
