Ok let it not be said I didn't try. I tried to sort things out with me friend from before, and I think I got somewhere with that. Anyway, she came up with the idea that we should meet up. So I said fine, and then she told me to bring my older brother along with me. So I thought oh this will be ok, and I brought Mikey along with me.
She spent the whole night outrageously flirting with him, and I know full well it was to get her own back because I lost my temper with her. I never realised how petty she could be before, either that, or I didn't want to realise it. I tried so hard to ignore it, most of the night I did, she was no doubt hoping I would take her aside and tell her to lay off, I thought no. With just a look a raised eyebrow and a slight shake of my head, I was able to communicate to my brother to leave her well enough be. Message recieved and understood. She got nowhere. To make matters worse, she was drinking and smoking as well. Which only served to baffle me and our other mate (who doesn't smoke at all, but drinks very lightly) who tagged along... as to how she could be so irresponsible when having a baby! Despite my feelings on the subject I was not going to rise to her baits. I know I lost my rag with her and threw a lot of her problems back in her face, but I'm 19! I don't want to have to deal with this kind of stuff! At the end of the night, I told her that I would do whatever I could to help her, but I don't want to be the only one she relies on, its too much for me. And I also made it perfectly clear what she did to my brother to get to me was unfair and cruel, and told in no uncertain terms if she ever does it again, she is going to be sorry, because I won't stick around her anymore. I think I was quite fair and came out of the situation well. |

From what I read here this is not friendship between you and her, but rather a mutual interest born out of loneliness.
That's why you obviously neither can't be together, nor without. You should look for some real friend. Friends make things easier for each other, not harder. I am not saying this to make you feel miserable, but it really sounds wrong, these destructive relationships.
