Default [REL] 2RTR US Periscope v1.1

The mod owner sent this in, it is now uploaded to Subsim Downloads. If you download it, be sure to check for viruses. I did, with McAfee, and it looks clear.

2RTR US Periscope v1.1 (2.2MB) - I decided that the Periscope needed a rework. I scoured the net, all the books, and videos in my library for information and after comparing every piece of information found on the graticle pattern of the US periscope sight pictures, this is what I came up with. Now, working with the Challenger 2, has given me reasons to make the sight picture rather difficult to peer through. In combat conditions like that which we faced out in the gulf you very rarely have what you would like to call a "brilliant sight picture". Battlefield dispersion stops this from happening. Thus I made this one nice and realistic. By =2RTR= SOMNUS

That actually looks very neat. Especially the background out of focus.

I was trying to edit the background porition of the textures a bit but when I went ingame to test it out the transparent glass porition of the scope was solid black. What am I doing wrong?

I really like the 'worn' view through the periscope. Something like this should be done for Sh3, too!

I installed the Mod.

I notice that the Mod Scope (on the right below) does not have the solid black line of the 'crosshair' as does the default original SH4 scope (on the left, below).

Is that intentional? Is that historically accurate?

AFAIK the scope without a horizontal line is correct for some marks of US periscope.
