I remember George Sewell from Tinker Tailor Solider Spy
and The Sweeney.

But I best remember him as Col. Alec Freeman from the series UFO as Strakers right hand man.

I loved that UFO series!!! I am in the process of collecting all the DvDs I can of it.

UFOs
Secret government underground HQ
Moon base
Subs with jet fighters duct-taped to bow
Women only superficially treated as skilled technicians but actually there for sexual décor and plot lines.
Good ol’ American boys being in charge of this supposedly international force.
Big computers with slowly moving tape reels.
One of the best soundtracks out there!

What’s not to love!

Sorry to hear the actor died. I hope he went with some dignity.
