Default Quick GWX Question...

If I install GWX... Is it only a client side mod or can I not play multiplayer with people without it anymore? I beleive I had it before but I can't remember.

If you install GWX, you will have to play online against other GWX`ers, unless you do a dual install. This way you can have stock and GWX installed at the same time.

Someone will come along and explain how, as I have never done it myself.

When playing GWX on MP every participant must have an identical installation as the person who is the 'server'....one exception being sub skins.
I have two GWX installs, the first is 'modded' to my liking and the other is the basic/original/unmodded version which I play MP online with my fellow kaleuns

I just did this. Get the MultiSH3 program from the downloads page. Pretty easy to do. All you do is take a bone stock version of SH3, create a new folder in the Ubisoft directory called 'TheGreyWolves' and then copy all those files into the new folder. Once you did that, install The Grey Wolves mod onto the new copy of the game (TheGreyWolves folder). Once that is done, put the MultiSH3.exe into TheGreyWolves folder and run it. This basically creates a new folder for all your saved games so it doesnt run into your unmodded version of SH3, I chose to call mine TGW.

Works great.

Install a clean version of SH3 in C\Program Files\Ubisoft\SH3
Patch it to 1.4b
Copy the folder and paste it to whatever drive you want.

Rename the folder ‘GWX’.
Now install GWX and run it.

Create a shortcut to the desktop..
Install the SH3Cmd 2.7 plus the SH3Cfg file
If your going to use multiple installs I’d suggest a separate install of SH3Cmdr for each plus an install of MultiSH3.
