Default [solved] Remove old layer from sub skin

I've made 2 skins for Balao and Gato.
They are less weathered then the original ones.

I have a question. When the sun is on the boat you can still see the original textures thru the new ones.. Did I missed something in editing or is there somekind of alpha layer ?

I am talking about the dark grey part of the boat.
On my textures there is not that much weathering.
So it must come from somewere else ?

Look in the "O" files same folder as the .DDS's

OH and what is the FONT you are using there, is it a "free" font or? Cause I been looking for exactly that one and found some but yours looks spot on.

I checked the NSS_Balao_O01.dds but all I see is grey scale parts of the boat.
I can't find the rusty parts.

OK do an experiment. Load that "O" file in Photoshop. Crank up the "Brightness and the "Contrast" until all that is white/gray is basically only white (over do it just to see what it does) save that as DDS bla bla. And see what effect it has. I have not tried this yet but I suspect that this is the stuff that makes the boat look sort a flecked metallic and its under the actual skin sort a shining through....anyway worth a try.

And THANKS! for the font man....I think I have seen this but only as a "buy" font.

EDIT: You might have to change the MODE to 16bit for you to work with the "Adjustments" in PS

Tried this.. and it helps. There is only one side effect. The complete boat starts to shine when the sun rays goes over the boat.

I tried to make the O file completely white. But this also happens whn I only convert the DDS to BMP and convert it back to DDS (no other changes).
