Default Uncontrollable Dive

This is the second time this has happened to me in this game, I dive and loose control of the boat till it gets crushed.

First time it happend I was in shallow water, ordered a routine dive to PD and the next thing I know I am at 150 feet, I repeat PD, nothing happens, order "S" Surface, nothing. Lastly I start pressing "E" still nothing and I die.

Second time planes were coming in and ordered Crash Dive. Same results.

Has anyone else had this happen?? I wasnt at battle stations, cant figure it out.

If you take even the slightest bit of damage from planes or depth charges you'll sink like a rock even if you repair everything you can. The damage control screen isn't set up to tell you these things, unfortunately.

I have this happen every time I get damaged and I dive! I sink hundreds of feet in seconds. (NO, TIME COMPRESSION is not on) I dive to >1400 feet and sit on the bottom, till the boat floods. This bug is really ruining this for me.

I've had that happen after taking damage. The damage control screen will only say the AA/Deck guns are damaged. I run on the surface for hours with the damage control crew at work. There's no sign of any trauma anywhere on the boat.. I dive.. sink nose first like a stone.

Just another bug.

I've seen this too. However, I have taken hull damage, repaired it and still managed to control my dives afterwards. Once I even had two gaping holes (one just below the conning tower and one in the aft torpedo room) without loosing my ability to submerge, so it doesen't happen every time my boat is damaged.

Usually I can still blow tanks to surface, or blow tanks just to stabilize at my preferred depth, but it's not a state you really want to continue a patrol in. I'm fine with being damaged to the point where I can't safely submerge, but some sort of indication of that damage would be nice.
